A practical guide for Indian retail traders using the indicator on validated NIFTY, BANKNIFTY and SENSEX charts.
Quick start
Open an exact supported spot or current-futures ticker, select standard candles and use 3m, 5m or 15m. Add RamPath from Invite-only scripts, then confirm Data is READY before interpreting a new observation.
Recommended starting view: 5-minute standard candles
Use 3-minute only if you can handle more frequent context changes
Use 15-minute for slower, broader context
Dashboard order
Read Data first, then Context, Setup, Guard and Vol. Directional color or background tint is supporting context only; it never overrides CHECK, WAIT or your own risk process.
CALL WATCH / PUT WATCH
A confirmed-bar bullish or bearish analytical observation. WATCH means observe—not buy, sell, enter, hold or average a position.
Reversal WATCH / ARMED
WATCH highlights possible opposing context. ARMED means more internal conditions aligned, but it remains a chart state rather than a transaction instruction.
Context weakening
A weakening marker means the prior analytical context has deteriorated. It is not a personalized exit instruction and does not know your position, instrument, quantity or risk tolerance.
Background tint
A faint green or red tint summarizes the current bullish or bearish regime. A neutral chart means no active directional regime. The tint is deliberately light so candles remain readable.
ATM and expiry
RamPath derives and locks the maintained session anchor automatically for supported profiles. Previously confirmed observations do not get rewritten merely because the live underlying later crosses into another ATM strike. Around holidays, rollover and expiry, verify the dated service notice and stop if Data shows CHECK.
Alerts
Select the specific RamPath condition and use Once Per Bar Close. Include symbol, timeframe and version in the alert name. Alerts may be delayed or missed and must not be the only risk control.
Risk process
Decide suitability, position size, maximum acceptable loss and whether to participate independently. Avoid treating expiry-day leverage or a colored state as certainty.
ANSWERS BEFORE YOU ASK
Questions customers usually ask on this page.
Read the direct answer now. If your situation is different, Support will explain the software boundary and documented use.
01What should I read first on the dashboard?+
CLEAR ANSWER
Data first. If it is not READY, do not interpret Context, Setup, Guard, tint or markers.
02Does CALL WATCH mean buy a call option?+
CLEAR ANSWER
No. It means bullish chart context is being watched after the defined bar logic. It does not select a contract or determine personal risk.
03What does ARMED mean?+
CLEAR ANSWER
More internal conditions have aligned than at WATCH. It still does not promise continuation or authorize a transaction.
04What does WEAKENING mean?+
CLEAR ANSWER
The prior context is deteriorating. It is not a personalized exit because RamPath does not know your position or suitability.
05Can ATM movement rewrite an old confirmed state?+
CLEAR ANSWER
The maintained session anchor is intended to remain fixed for the supported session. A later underlying move into another live ATM strike does not by itself rewrite an already confirmed historical observation.
06Why is the background sometimes neutral?+
CLEAR ANSWER
Neutral means no active directional regime tint. It is valid information, not a software failure.
07Is RamPath a buy/sell signal service?+
PRODUCT BOUNDARY
No. It is general analytical software. WATCH, ARMED, READY, CHECK and WEAKENING describe chart context; they do not choose a trade, contract, entry, quantity, target or stop.
08Does it guarantee a market outcome?+
RISK
No. Data, platform behavior, execution, leverage and user decisions can all materially affect outcomes.
09Do you need my TradingView password, OTP or broker login?+
SECURITY
Never. Access requires only the exact TradingView username. Support will never ask for passwords, OTPs, trading PINs or remote control of a broker account.
10Where do I go when something is unclear?+
SUPPORT
Start with the manual and FAQ, then open Support with the exact ticker, timeframe, version, date/time and Data status. Product support explains software behavior only.
